I can write and produce whatever I want, take time to experiment,” says Stone. “This album is eclectic and surprising. It doesn’t really adhere to any specific genre. It was a lot of fun to put together.” The bouncy title track “The Happy Ones” features Stone’s signature vocal stylings while flaunting her pop production chops. “I played around with mixing more acoustic instruments with electronic ones,” says Stone. But not straying too far from her acoustic roots, the sweet folk-inspired tune “Ain’t No Rest” is brimming with tight harmonies, rootsy production, and powerful lyrics. Closing out the album with the dreamy “Fall In Love Again”, Stone has created an incredible collection of songs that are sure to appease her fans. “I do love releasing music, it keeps me growing as a writer and as an artist.
